About BigPeptideList

BigPeptideList is the most comprehensive open peptide database — 75+ peptides with evidence ratings, regulatory status (USA & Canada), dosing references, side-effect coverage, and side-by-side comparisons.

Why this exists

Peptide research moves faster than mainstream medical references can keep up with. Practitioners, researchers, and patients are stuck reading marketing copy from compounding pharmacies or wading through half-finished Reddit threads to figure out what a peptide does, whether it's currently legal in their jurisdiction, and what the actual published dosing ranges are.

This site collapses that into one place, with primary sources cited where available and a transparent evidence tier on every entry. We don't sell peptides, accept payment for inclusion, or run affiliate links to compounding pharmacies — see the disclaimer for the full editorial-independence statement.

How we research each entry

  • 1.Mechanism and pharmacology are sourced from peer-reviewed literature and primary protein databases (UniProt, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov).
  • 2.Regulatory status is checked against the FDA Federal Register and Drugs@FDA. The site is US-focused; we don't track jurisdictions outside the United States.
  • 3.Dosing references come from published clinical trials or the manufacturer's prescribing information. We do not invent dosing ranges.
  • 4.Each peptide receives an evidence tier (A: multiple RCTs / FDA approval; B: limited human trials; C: animal or anecdotal). The tier is shown on every profile.

Editorial standards

  • Independent of every product mentioned. We accept no payment for inclusion, no affiliate revenue from clinical-content pages, and no sponsorship from peptide retailers.
  • Corrections published openly. Substantive edits to a published entry are dated and explained.
  • No medical advice. The site is informational. See the disclaimer for the full statement.
  • Sources cited inline. Where a claim is consequential (dosing, safety, regulatory), we link to the primary source.
