Growth Hormone Secretagogues · GHRP

GHRP-2 is one of the most potent growth hormone releasing peptides, stimulating GH release through the ghrelin receptor.

What is GHRP-2?

GHRP-2 is one of the most potent growth hormone releasing peptides, stimulating GH release through the ghrelin receptor. It produces a stronger GH release than ipamorelin but with more side effects including increased hunger, cortisol, and prolactin elevation.

Also known as: Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2, Pralmorelin

How Does GHRP-2 Work?

Binds to GHS-R1a (ghrelin receptor) in the pituitary and hypothalamus, triggering growth hormone release. Also stimulates appetite through ghrelin pathway activation. Unlike ipamorelin, it is less selective and affects cortisol and prolactin levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between GHRP-2 and ipamorelin?
Both stimulate GH release via the ghrelin receptor, but ipamorelin is more selective. GHRP-2 produces a stronger GH pulse but also increases cortisol, prolactin, and appetite. Ipamorelin is preferred for its cleaner side effect profile despite slightly lower GH output.
